This vehicle was manufactured in 2015 in the Netherlands by the company SOIOS and has been completely customised by specialised engineers of MiniTrenet. It features the latest technical advances in all its components, especially with regard to the electric powertrain and the battery & solar panel system.

Among other things, this tourist road train features for example the latest technical advances in the area of battery control and overall vehicle control, allowing the operator to know (from any place, via Internet) the actual battery consumption, the measurement of the solar energy collected by the solar panels and, generally, to control the activity of the vehicle and to detect any type of incidence in advance.

Currently the solar-electric tourist road train is the most environmentally-friendly vehicle available on the market. Apart from being totally electric, the main breakthrough and exclusive characteristic is the use of solar energy to drive the train, which is done with the help of high-performance solar panels installed on the roof of the whole vehicle (locomotive and wagons). Naturally, due to its characteristics, the road train has a totally silent operation mode (eliminating any type of noise pollution), there is no emission of polluting gases and it uses solar energy to charge the bank of last-generation batteries that power the train, this way achieving a zero-impact on the environment.

Despite of complying with the European standard, the companies pertaining to MiniTrenet have gone one step further and have implemented additional measures to improve the low emission level of this vehicle and to minimize its environmental impact. For this reason ecological additives are used, which improve the combustion, protect the system and minimize the emissions and the pollution of the air.

Manufactured in 1996 by the company Road Trains Tschu-Tschu in Neumarkt (Germany), this vehicle was built as a replica of the well-known SAN FRANCISCO TRAM. It stands out thanks to its aesthetic qualities. This vehicle of MiniTrenet was designed based on the image of an old historic tram. It features a teak wood interior decorated with antique bell jars made of glass, offering the realistic impression of a classic tram.

It is equipped with an Iveco engine, type ML75E, with 4 cylinders, a capacity of 3900 cm3 and 135 HP.
